After 17 years as a nationally recognized insurance professional, Ryan Aduddell launched Heritage Texas Insurance Group with a mission rooted in relationships, trust and community.
In an era of automated phone systems, online quotes and increasingly impersonal customer service, Ryan Aduddell believes something important has been lost in the insurance industry.
For too many people, he says, insurance has become a transaction rather than a relationship.
That belief inspired the launch of Heritage Texas Insurance Group, an independent insurance agency based in Tomball, Texas, where clients are treated as neighbors rather than policy numbers.
Founded in 2026, the agency reflects the culmination of Ryan’s 17-year career in insurance and his desire to build a business centered on advocacy, education and long-term relationships.
“I started this agency after watching too many friends and neighbors get treated like policy numbers instead of people,” Ryan said. “I realized our community deserved an agent who would fight for them, not just sell to them.”
That philosophy has become the foundation of Heritage Texas Insurance Group and the reason behind its guiding message: Our legacy is protecting your future.
A Career Built on Service
Ryan’s journey began long before opening his own agency.
After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Abilene Christian University, he launched his professional career in B2B sales with Cintas Corporation. The experience helped him develop a deep understanding of relationship-building and customer service.
He later transitioned into the insurance industry, joining Liberty Mutual, where he spent 17 years building a reputation as one of the company’s top-performing agents.
Throughout his career, Ryan consistently earned top awards and accolades, culminating in a remarkable achievement from 2022-2024: ranking No. 18 nationwide among all agents.
He also earned the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation, further strengthening his expertise in helping clients navigate complex insurance decisions.
Despite the success, something continued to pull at him.
“I always felt handcuffed by corporate quotas and policies that put profits over people,” he said.
The desire to advocate more directly for clients ultimately led him to take a leap many professionals spend years contemplating but never pursue.
He left the security of a national company and launched his own independent agency.

A Defining Lesson
One experience early in his insurance career helped shape the professional philosophy he carries today.
Only months after entering the industry, Ryan worked with a homeowner whose property suffered significant storm damage. When the claim was filed, the client discovered her previous policy contained major coverage gaps that left her responsible for thousands of dollars in repairs.
“She was devastated and felt betrayed,” Ryan recalled.
Rather than simply explaining the limitations of her policy, he spent hours working with carriers and advocating on her behalf to secure a better outcome.
The experience transformed his perspective.
“I realized that offering competitive rates wasn’t enough,” he said. “I had a responsibility to truly protect people.”
Today, every client conversation begins with a simple question:
“What are you trying to protect?”
That shift from focusing on price to focusing on protection has become a defining characteristic of Heritage Texas Insurance Group.

Insurance With a Human Touch
As an independent agency, Heritage Texas Insurance Group offers auto, home, business, life and specialty insurance coverage through multiple top-rated carriers.
But Ryan insists the agency’s greatest value lies not in the products themselves, but in the guidance provided along the way.
Rather than presenting clients with a stack of quotes, he works to understand their circumstances, goals and concerns before recommending solutions.
Whether helping a young family protect a new home, assisting retirees with coverage decisions or supporting small-business owners, his approach centers on education and transparency.
“Think of me as your personal insurance translator and advocate,” Ryan said.
Clients frequently tell him they appreciate having someone who explains coverage in plain language rather than industry jargon.
That personalized attention extends beyond the initial sale.
“When you have a claim that goes wrong, I’m the one making those calls and fighting for you,” he said.
Deep Roots in the Community
While insurance is his profession, community service has long been one of Ryan’s passions.
Over the years, he has served as president of a local BNI chapter and as chairman of the board for the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce. In those roles, he worked to strengthen local businesses, foster economic growth and support community initiatives.
His involvement also extends beyond the business community.
He serves as a youth small-group leader through his church and has spent time coaching peewee football, including serving as a lineman coach for his son’s team.
For Ryan, those experiences reinforce the importance of investing in people.
“I’m not just an insurance agent,” he said. “I’m a neighbor, a volunteer, a coach and a friend to the people who make Tomball special.”
That commitment becomes especially evident during difficult times.
One client, Britten, experienced severe flooding that damaged his home. Instead of simply guiding the claims process from behind a desk, Ryan showed up in person.
He helped remove damaged drywall, salvage belongings and support the family throughout the recovery process.
“It’s not just about policies and paperwork,” Ryan said. “It’s about being a trusted advisor who shows up when it counts.”
Building a Legacy
Unlike many agencies focused primarily on growth metrics, Ryan’s long-term vision centers on creating something that lasts.
He hopes to build a family-oriented agency that serves future generations while maintaining the personalized service that defines its identity today.
Part of that vision includes expanding the team with agents who share his client-first mindset and strengthening partnerships with mortgage professionals, real estate agents and other community-focused businesses.
The goal is not simply to grow larger.
It is to become a trusted institution within the communities he serves.
“No matter how large we grow, I refuse to lose that family-oriented, community-driven spirit,” Ryan said.
As technology continues to transform the insurance industry, he believes personal relationships will remain essential.
While embracing innovation, he remains committed to preserving the human element that first inspired him to open Heritage Texas Insurance Group.
For Ryan, success is measured not by rankings or awards, but by the families who feel protected because someone took the time to listen.
